SLAM Booster Club
The Booster Club is a new part of the organization that allows fans, friends, and family to support the growth of the St. Louis SLAM. Working together, members of the Booster Club help to organize and support projects under these three key focus areas: fundraising, recruiting, and outreach.
Membership Types
Planning Committee
Committee Members meet monthly to plan events and projects under the three focus areas: fundraising, recruiting, and outreach (see below). They also volunteer at SLAM games and events.
Fundraising
Plan events and fundraising opportunities such as the annual trivia night, kick-off party, end of season banquet, and merchandise sales. They also research and establish relationships with potential sponsors.
Volunteer Squad
Volunteer Members attend Slam games and events and work as volunteers doing tasks such as set-up, ticket sales, merchandise sales, etc. These members will be on the front lines of making fans feel welcome and comfortable.
Recruiting
Contact local gyms, universities, and other venues to find more women who are interested in joining the team. They also help plan events for youth (high school age and under) who are interested in playing football.
Honorary member
Honorary Members or Donor Members of the Booster Club can become members through a monetary donation. This option is for members who are unable to attend meetings or volunteer at events, but still want to contribute.
Key Focus Areas
Outreach
Look for ways to get the SLAM name out there through volunteering, mentoring, and public-facing opportunities such as fairs, festivals, social events.
